The Making of a Sculpture of  Ensign Jesse L. Brown

This sculpture of  Ensign Jesse Leroy Brown is one that I  worked on in a sculpture class at the Crealde School of Arts in Winter Park, Florida under the tuteluge of artist David Cumbie and and  Crealde;s guest artist Bobby Scroggins.   I  began working on the piece during the time Bobby Scroggins was the curator of an  exhibit  at Crealde commemorating President Obama.  Bobby Scroggins bears a striking resemblence to  Ensign Jesse Leroy Brown.  He is an accomplished artist and  has completed a sculpture of one of the Tuskegee Airmen.  It was David Cumbie's who provided this rare opportunity to work with this fine artist.   I hope to one day finish it.
